Our Story

The Modern Tapestry Co was born from a deep love of craft and a belief that handmade art belongs in the modern home. Based near Brighton, we create bespoke handwoven tapestries and custom photo pieces. Each one made to order, by hand, with care. What started as a personal passion for traditional weaving techniques has grown into a studio dedicated to helping people turn meaningful moments into lasting works of art.

Our Process

Every tapestry begins with your photo. It's your vision, your memory and your feeling. We translate this memory using the threads of our looms. Always using 100% spun silk  and time-honoured weaving methods, each piece is crafted by hand from start to finish. Production typically takes up to a week, ensuring every detail is given the attention it deserves. The result is a one-of-a-kind piece made specifically for you.
